Exhaust ducts

Exhaust ducts and canopy hoods belong to the group of open local exhaust widely used in ventilation. Hazardous emissions are caught by the local exhaust at the source. Such way of room ventilation provides high technical-and-economic indexes of ventilation by minimal air change.

Exhaust hoods from polypropylene are kind of local exhaust. Hoods from PP have a shape of truncated cone or pyramid; they are placed over the heat source at some distance from this source and are connected to the exhaust ventilation. Plastic exhaust hoods are used in case when the full encasement of emission source disturbs the technological procedures. Angle of expansion for the hood is considered not greater than 60°, because the greater value leads to great inequality of velocity field at suction cross-section of hood.
